Waterford residents eligible for FREE bussing Did you know that most Waterford homes are far enough away from Blue Valley North to qualify for free bussing? Let’s do our part to reduce traffic congestion and gas usage by taking advantage of this opportunity. Students can sign up for morning only, afternoon only, or both morning and afternoon rides on the bus. Contact Blue Valley district office Durham bussing coordinators at 913.681.2492 for more information.

Trash Information
GFL Environmental picks up trash and recycling every Thursday. All waste and recycling must fit inside the carts, other than yard waste. If you should have a missed pickup, call 816-380-5595 or kccustomercare@gflenv.com.
A bulk item call also be requested at $50 per item.
Yard waste season runs all year long. Per Johnson County regulations, all yard waste must be in biodegradable bags. No plastic bags will be accepted for leaves, grass clipping or any type of yard waste. Tree limbs should be tied in four-foot bundles. It is collected the same day as trash pickup each week.
Recycling Guidelines
The larger-capacity recycling containers increase our ability to live green, without fear of our stacked-up recycling blowing all over the street as in the past. Some details:

- Paper, including office, newspaper (but no plastic rain bags, please), phone books, books, catalogs, junk mail, magazines and shredded paper placed in paper bags.
- Plastic, including containers labeled with the numbers 1 (most clear beverage bottles with lids), 2 (opaque or cloudy bottles for milk with lids), 3 (PVC), 4, 5.
- Aluminum, steel or tin cans, including most food cans. (Please rinse thoroughly to remove food residue.)

- Plastic bags
- Gift wrap and tissue paper
