Emerald Ash Borer Info
The emerald ash borer has wreaked havoc in many parts of the country and is expected to come to our area. (Review frequently asked questions about the emerald ash borer.) We are providing this information about ash trees so you may be aware of research and recommended treatments. Each homeowner must make their own decision regarding ash tree treatment. Homeowners are responsible for the care and maintenance of street trees on or adjoining their property. Waterford has a large number of ash trees including the street trees on our main streets including:
  • Glenfield
  • 129th St
  • 132nd St
  • Howe Drive
  • Falmouth between Canterbury and 132nd
This aerial map provides additional location information, though it is very important to note that it only shows the Ash trees present along the main thoroughfares and does not indicate all ash trees that may be present in the entire Waterford area.
